Hostel bunk beds vs coworking day passes, my sleep budget finally made sense
I spent 6 months bouncing around Chiang Mai and Bali booking hostels with private rooms to save cash. Hit me that I was paying $22 a night for a bed I only slept in 7 hours, plus another $15 daily for a coworking desk. Swapped to a shared dorm for $8 and a cheap local cafe with solid wifi for $3. Coffee and noise canceling earbuds fixed the distractions, and that $26 a day turned into $11. My work output stayed the same, but I saved enough in 3 weeks to cover a visa run to Laos. Anyone else split their sleep and work budgets separately, or am I overthinking this?
