Got stuck in a Chiang Mai monsoon and found the best backup power setup

My laptop died during a 3 hour storm in Chiang Mai last month, and the coworking space's generator kicked in but my cheap power bank did nothing. A guy next to me let me use his 100W foldable solar panel and now I always carry one, has anyone tested these on cloudy days?
