Can we talk about the coworking space in Chiang Mai that pushed me to leave
I was at Punspace in Chiang Mai last August working on my client projects. A guy at the next table kept giving me side eyes when I took a phone call near my desk. He walked over and told me I should use the phone booths like everyone else. I get being quiet, but I was talking for maybe 2 minutes. That one interaction made me realize how strict some nomad spaces can be, and I stopped going to coworking spots after that. Has anyone else felt judged for basic work stuff in these places?

...and that's the thing, some of those coworking spots get weird about the weirdest stuff. I had a similar thing happen in this one place in Lisbon where the girl at the front desk gave me a whole lecture about keeping my coffee cup on a coaster. Like lady, I'm paying thirty bucks a day to sit here and zoom with clients, not join a library club. It can really kill the whole vibe when you're just trying to get through your day.

It's wild how some places try to turn basic transactions into a whole moral code. Feels like every public space is trying to be its own little dictatorship now instead of just letting people exist.
