Spent 45 minutes trying to fix a layer shift in my digital painting, only to realize my stylus tip was loose
I was working on this portrait in Procreate last night and the lines kept jumping like crazy. I tried resetting the canvas, restarting my iPad, even checked for software updates. After 45 minutes of messing with settings, I noticed my stylus tip was barely hanging on. Twisted it back on and everything worked perfect. Has anyone else chased a simple hardware fix for way too long?

45 minutes is rough but honestly I think it might be even more if you count the time before you actually started timing. I did something similar with my Surface pen back in February. The pressure sensitivity was acting super weird and I spent a solid hour googling driver issues and recalibrating the thing. Turned out the nib was just slightly crooked from me dropping it on the carpet.

@foster.dylan that crooked nib thing is sneaky because it still works enough to trick you. How often do you check your stylus tip before you start painting now? I had to make it a habit after that same thing happened to me.
