Saw my first digital canvas print at a gallery in Omaha back in 2009 and it changed how I thought about art

Did they have that weird shiny coating on them back then... I remember when those first started showing up in galleries and it felt like cheating almost. Like how can a print feel more real than an actual painting you know? It really opened my eyes to how art doesn't have to be oil on canvas to hit you in the gut.

Yeah that "cheating" thing is exactly what I felt at first too. But then I realized if it makes you stop and stare for five minutes, who cares what it's printed on or how it was made.
