Picked a Wacom over an iPad for digital painting and kinda regret it

I went with the Wacom Intuos Pro because I thought the pen feel would be better, but now I'm stuck tethered to my laptop while my buddy sketches on his iPad at the coffee shop. The pressure sensitivity is great but portability matters more than I thought. Anyone else wish they had gone the other way?

Did you ever flip the script and try drawing on a cheap android tablet with a stylus? I got a used Samsung Tab S6 Lite for like 80 bucks. It's not as smooth as my Intuos but the freedom of walking around the house sketching is wild. The pen isn't perfect, the screen's kinda dim. But I can draw on the couch while my wife watches TV. That alone was worth the buy. Sometimes the fancy gear locks you down more than you realize.

@raymartin changed my mind on this one... now I just grab the tablet and go.
