Ugh, their power supplies are total junk.

That's actually a known issue with the Cintiq 16 power supply. The brick they give you is pretty weak and can fail without warning. You should check if the green light on the power adapter is still on. If it's out, that's your problem. A lot of people have to buy a better third party adapter to fix it for good. It's a real pain for such an expensive piece of gear.
