Dropped $200 on a drawing tablet that barely worked out of the box

I bought a mid-range XP-Pen tablet last month for digital portraits, but the pen started skipping after two weeks of use. Customer support offered to replace it but wanted me to pay shipping both ways, which felt like a scam. Has anyone else dealt with a tablet that went bad fast, or did I just get a lemon?

That bit about the shipping costs sounds exactly like what happened to me with a Huion tablet a few years back. They wanted me to pay return shipping on a defective unit too, and I refused. What finally worked was posting on their social media page a simple complaint with a photo of the issue. Someone from their team reached out within hours and sent me a prepaid label. I'd suggest trying that route before you spend any more money. Sometimes it just takes a little public pressure to get things moving.

Posting on social media is the only way they listen honestly.
