Dropped $180 on a cheap drawing tablet last month and I still can't decide if it saved me or scammed me

I've been doing all my digital art with a mouse for about 2 years now, mostly just simple character sketches and backgrounds, and I finally caved and bought a $180 tablet off Amazon. Some days it feels like a total game changer, my lines are smoother and I can actually shade without wanting to throw my laptop, but other days I miss the mouse because my hand cramps up and the pressure settings never feel right. I keep going back and forth on whether it was worth the money or if I should've just kept saving for a better screen one. Curious if anyone else made the jump from mouse to tablet and actually stuck with it, or did you end up going back?
