Wasted $180 on a 'pro' diesel coolant flush kit from a random website

Thought I was saving money vs buying the OEM kit from Freightliner. The fittings didn't match up, leaked coolant everywhere in my driveway, and the instructions were trash. Ended up buying the real deal anyways. Anyone else get burned by knockoff maintenance kits?

The OEM diesel coolant flush kit from Freightliner is the only way to go in my experience. I spent three hours fighting with an off-brand kit on my old Freightliner Cascadia, stripping a fitting and making a mess in my garage. After that headache, I just pay the extra money for the real deal and it always fits perfect with clear instructions. Saved myself a lot of frustration and cleanup time by learning that lesson the hard way.

Heard a guy on YouTube say those knockoff kits are always a gamble.
