That time a coolant hose blew in the middle of nowhere Nebraska
I was about 60 miles outside of North Platte on a highway job last August. A customer's Peterbilt blew a coolant hose right at the water pump inlet. Had no spare on the truck and the nearest parts store was 45 minutes away. I ended up patching it with a piece of radiator hose I cut down and two sets of worm clamps. Got it sealed enough to limp to Ogallala where we swapped in a proper hose. Has anyone else had to get creative with a road fix like that?

Dude my buddy patched a split hose with a beer can and duct tape once.

That beer can trick is the kind of fix that proves most problems just need a little time and creativity instead of a whole new part. It's funny how those quick patches end up teaching you more than the textbook way ever could.
