Just realized my old way of pulling injectors on the 6.0 Powerstroke was costing me hours

I used to fight with them for half a day, but after watching a guy in a Tulsa shop use a slide hammer with a custom adapter, I got my own and now it's a 30 minute job. Anyone have a better trick for the ones that are really carbon-locked?

Honestly, I gotta disagree with the carb cleaner soak. Tbh, that stuff can wreck the o-rings and cause way bigger headaches down the line. I've seen it make the seals swell up and then you're chasing leaks. For the really locked ones, a little heat from a propane torch around the base works better without the mess. Just gotta be careful not to melt anything.

That slide hammer trick is a game changer. For the really stuck ones, I've had good luck soaking the base with carb cleaner overnight before I try to pull them.

Try a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone.
