Check your injector crush washers before you seat them

Last month I put a set of reman injectors in a 6.0 Powerstroke and two of them started leaking almost right away. Took me a full day to pull them back out and find out the crush washers had tiny burrs on them from the factory. Anyone else ever get burned by new parts being bad out of the box?

Oh man, I gotta push back on this a little. I get where you're coming from but I've been running reman injectors for years and I've had way more problems with me messing up the install than the parts being bad. Those tiny burrs you found might have been from the factory but they could also be from how you handled them or even the old crush washers not fully cleaned off the mounting surface. I always clean the bore and the injector seat with brake cleaner and a lint free rag before I drop them in. Also I use a little assembly lube on the o-rings and crush washers to help them seat properly. Nine times out of ten a leak after install is from something I did wrong not the parts.
