My old iPod shuffle survived the washing machine but a 2019 MacBook app killed it
Last month I pulled my 2nd gen shuffle out of a jeans pocket after a full wash cycle in Columbus and it still turned on, which felt like a small victory. The sad part came two days later when I plugged it into my laptop to reload songs and iTunes wouldn't even see it anymore, so I was stuck with the same 40 tracks for a week. I ended up digging out an old Windows 7 netbook from the closet just to sync it, and that thing worked fine on the first try after holding the battery reset for 15 seconds. Has anyone found a newer program that still talks to these little guys, or am I stuck keeping a 15 year old netbook alive just for this?
