Found out my old iPod's dead battery is why my car stereo kept eating my AUX cable
A guy on a repair forum linked me to a service note showing a swollen battery in a 5th gen Classic can push the headphone jack housing out just enough to short the cable, which explains the 3 cables I went through in 6 months. Has anyone here swapped a battery in one of these and lived to tell it?
