Bought a GPS unit for $180 in 2012, now the maps are from a dead decade

I grabbed a Garmin nuvi back in 2012 for a road trip out to Flagstaff, figured it was worth the cash since my flip phone had no nav. The thing still turns on and locks satellites fine, but the last map update was 2018 and the company just says it's end of life, no support. Anyone else sitting on an old GPS that works perfectly except for the fact that it wants to route you through a mall that got torn down 6 years ago?

Is it weird that I’m almost impressed my old nuvi still says “Flagstaff, 3 miles” when I’m actually sitting in my driveway in Phoenix? Mine’s from 2013 and it’s convinced I can save 12 minutes by driving through a dirt lot that’s now a housing development. I keep it in the glovebox as a backup for when my phone dies, but honestly it’s more like a time capsule that yells at me about roads that don’t exist. At this point I just let it route me somewhere random for laughs, like a sad little robot with a grudge against progress.
