Tried to get into an abandoned mall through a food court vent

Last fall I was at the old Tri-County Mall in Cincinnati and thought I could squeeze through a vent grate near the old food court. Got stuck waist-deep for 20 minutes until a security guard showed up and just stared at me. Has anyone else gotten themselves into a dumb spot exploring?

Man, I feel your pain. I once tried to climb a fence behind an old Kmart to get a better look at some graffiti, and I got my pant leg caught on the top. Hung there like a broken piñata for a solid ten minutes while a guy walking his dog just watched and sipped his coffee. At least you got the dignity of a security guard - I got a bored beagle and its judgmental owner. Honestly, the worst part was knowing I had to go home and explain to my roommate why my jeans were ripped and I smelled like a dumpster. But hey, at least we didn't fall through the vent and into the food court, right? Small victories.

Wait, are you sure it was an old Kmart? Most of the closed Kmarts I've seen have those chain-link fences with the barbed wire on top, not the kind you could really climb like that. Plus, the graffiti behind them is usually just tags and not the cool murals you'd wanna snap a pic of. Either way, that beagle's owner definitely posted about you on Nextdoor, sorry.
