Took me 45 minutes to unlock a mall bathroom door that was just stuck shut

I was exploring the old College Mall in Lincoln, Nebraska last weekend and needed to use the employee restroom near the food court. The door wouldn't budge so I spent a full 45 minutes trying keys, jiggling the handle, and even checking for hidden locks before a janitor walked by and just pushed it harder than I did and it swung open. Has anyone else wasted way too long on something dumb like a stuck door while exploring?

My sister had a similar issue with her car door last winter. It was frozen shut for three days straight and she ended up having to pour warm water on the seal just to get it open. I really feel for you, that kind of frustration is the WORST. People who say "just push harder" have clearly never had a door that was truly stuck. It is NOT about strength when the latch is jammed or the weather stripping is frozen solid. Sometimes you have to try wiggling it side to side or using a bit of lubricant instead of just brute force.
