The week our local mall finally threw in the towel last March made me rethink everything I thought about dead malls
I used to blame online shopping for every empty storefront, but watching an anchor tenant close because their lease doubled overnight changed my mind. Has anyone else dug into the actual lease agreements that killed their local spots?

Triple net leases are straight up predatory, total trap for small tenants.
