Showerthought: I always thought the old mall in Canton was just ugly, not worth a second look
For years I drove past the Canton Galleria, that big 80s brick box, and figured it was just an eyesore. Last weekend, my friend dared me to go inside with him, just to see. We found a way in through a busted loading dock door, and man, the light was crazy. The whole center court had this greenish glow from moss growing on the skylights. We found a whole food court, frozen in time, with menus still up for a Sbarro and an Orange Julius. The weirdest part was the sound, or lack of it, just our footsteps and water dripping somewhere. It wasn't just an ugly building, it was a full story about what people did there. I used to think these places were just failures, but now I see they're more like time capsules. Has anyone else been in a place that felt completely still like that?

That green light from the moss sounds wild. Did you guys touch anything? Like, were the menus just paper or were they plastic signs? Makes you wonder who turned the lights off for the last time.

Whoa, careful there! If we touched anything we'd probably have been cursed by 15-year-old ghost fry cooks or something. Those menus looked like paper but felt like ancient parchment from a forgotten era of value meals. And nah, nobody turned off the lights - the place just ran out of whatever magic was keeping the fluorescent bulbs flickering. Probably still costs less to leave them on than to shut them off properly knowing how these places end up!

Honestly, that just sounds like trespassing to me. Those places are empty for a reason and getting in through a busted door isn't a cool adventure, it's how people get hurt or arrested. That "story" you're talking about is just a failed business and a safety hazard now.
