I thought mall ghost stories were just fun tales until I saw something at Franklin Park Mall
I used to roll my eyes at people posting about weird experiences in dead malls. Figured it was just the dark and the quiet playing tricks on you. Then I spent a night at Franklin Park Mall outside Toledo last fall. It closed back in 2019 after the anchor stores pulled out. I was there with a buddy just taking photos of the old food court. Around 2am we both heard a coffee machine start up in the empty Dunkin Donuts kiosk. No power in that whole wing, no explanation. We packed up and left in 10 minutes flat. Has anyone else run into something strange that made them believe the local legends?

Franklin Park Mall isn't dead, it's still open and pretty busy actually, just not the same as it used to be. You probably mean the old North Towne Square Mall that closed in 2019.

@riverknight isn't Franklin Park losing a lot of those anchor stores though?
