I picked the food court over the arcade at the old Franklin Mall

Last Saturday I had to choose between grabbing a slice at the Sbarro that still opens sometimes or playing the leftover arcade machines near the closed theater. I went with the pizza because the guy at the counter said they only use cheese from before the mall shut down in 2019. The slice was fine but I spent the whole time wondering if that Street Fighter cabinet still worked. Has anyone gotten both experiences on the same trip or is that just not possible anymore?

Oh man, did your pizza come with that weirdly perfect crust they always had? I did the same thing last month but I flipped a coin and ended up at the arcade. The Street Fighter cabinet was actually on, but the joystick was SUPER loose, like someone had been yanking it for years. I still played two rounds against nobody because the machine was set to free play for some reason. Honestly, I feel like you can't win either way, you just pick which kind of disappointment you want that day.
