Got a chance to explore the old Sears at Westgate Mall last Tuesday and it was the most depressing but fascinating 40 minutes I've had in years.
The lighting was still on in half the store and someone had left a price tag gun on the counter with a 1995 date code still on the label, has anyone else found weird time capsule stuff like that in their dead mall walks?

There was a YouTube channel I stumbled on a while back, some guy who films inside dead malls across the Midwest. He found a full stockroom in a Spencer's that still had all the old blacklight posters from the early 2000s, still shrink-wrapped and everything. A lot of those places just shut down so fast the employees didn't bother clearing anything out. Makes you wonder what else is sitting in those back rooms collecting dust.

Actually that channel might be Retail Archaeology. He's been doing dead mall videos for like 8 years now. I remember that Spencer's video. The stockroom had a bunch of the old "Keep Calm and Carry On" posters still in boxes. Those were big in like 2009. Not quite early 2000s. But close enough I guess. The place was in Ohio somewhere, I think near Cleveland.
