Random buys are usually a letdown so I get the excitement. Though I gotta say, a lot of these "random" finds online are actually just old stock that got buried in a warehouse clearance. Seen it happen with electronics and even some collectibles lately. Still a win if you got it cheap and it works fine. Did you check the manufacturing date or any serial numbers on yours?

@john648 nailed it - random buys feeling good is rare. What nobody's mentioned yet is that mall directory signs sometimes have unique font families or color schemes that graphic designers actually hunt for inspiration. Could be a hidden gem for someone in that field.
