The guy at the Columbus repair shop told me to stop recapping every old radio I touch
I brought in a Zenith from 1953 and he looked at the board and asked why I'd already swapped out 4 caps that tested fine. He said I was 'fixing things that aren't broken' and handed me back my money. Now I test every cap twice before I pull the iron out, and my last 3 sets all fired up on the first try. Anybody else have a repair guy call them out like that?
