My 2006 iPod is still going, but the last 3 chargers I bought died in a month
Pulled my old 30GB iPod out of a drawer in my Chicago apartment last month after it sat there for close to 5 years. The battery acts like it's still got some life, screen is fine, click wheel still works. Only thing is, the wall chargers I grab off the gas station shelf and the big online site keep dying on me within weeks, and I'm on the third one now. I don't think it's the cable, because the same cable works when I plug into my laptop. Part of me wonders if these cheap bricks just can't handle a device that charges this slow. The old dock I had went missing somewhere in a move back in 2019 and I'm kicking myself for not holding onto it. Is it worth hunting down an original Apple adapter on a resale site, or should I just deal with the laptop cable and quit throwing cash at these knockoffs?
