Found a working IBM Model M keyboard at a thrift store in Portland last Tuesday
I was digging through the electronics bin at a Goodwill out on 82nd Ave and spotted this heavy beige keyboard buried under some old phone chargers. Plugged it into my laptop with a PS2 adapter and every single key still clicks like new. Got it for $8. Anyone else still hang onto mechanical keyboards from the 80s or 90s?

Man, that's a crazy good find for eight bucks. I'm legit jealous, those Model M's are tanks.

Can't say I see the appeal myself. For eight bucks you could get a perfectly decent modern keyboard that doesn't weigh as much as a bag of bricks. All that noise and clatter for something that types the same as anything else.
