Dropped $340 on a refurbished ThinkPad T430 in 2019 and it's still my main machine
Everyone told me I was throwing money away on a 2012 laptop with a scratched lid, but the keyboard on this thing beats anything new I've touched at Best Buy. I swapped in an SSD and 16GB of RAM for another $90, and it boots faster than my wife's 2021 MacBook. The only real problem is the screen is dim and washed out, so I mostly dock it at my desk in Seattle. Anyone got a cheap panel upgrade that actually fits this chassis, or am I stuck squinting forever?
