Am I the only one who thinks a 1998 Nokia beats a smartwatch for actually telling time?
Last weekend my smartwatch died at 2pm on a hike near Boulder and my old Nokia in the glovebox still had 3 bars, so now I'm stuck between 'dumb phones are useless' and 'maybe I only need the clock,' and I want to know which side you all land on.
Ha, same thing happened to me on a trip to Grand Lake last summer. My fancy watch was dead by noon and my old flip phone in the glovebox was still kicking with half a battery. There's something about a phone that just does one thing and does it forever, no charging every night, no updates breaking stuff. These days I mostly wear the smartwatch for steps and leave the time telling to whatever cheap phone is rattling around in the car.
