My coworker's one line about lunch made me rethink my whole routine
During a break at the warehouse last Tuesday, Dana said 'you always eat the same thing like it's a punishment' and it hit me that I've had turkey sandwiches for 4 years straight without asking why. I guess I just defaulted to what was easy since my dad always did the same, but now I'm wondering how many other parts of my day are just autopilot habits I never picked on purpose. Has anyone else had a tiny comment from someone totally outside your circle flip a switch like that?
That "like it's a punishment" line is so real, I had a friend say something similar about my whole weekend routine and it messed me up for days. What helped me was just picking one thing at a time to actually question instead of trying to fix everything at once. Start with the sandwich, see how it feels, then move to the next autopilot thing.
