Hot take: "You can't go home again" from Look Homeward, Angel hit different after my trip to my old street in Baltimore last month
I walked past my childhood house on Keswick Road for the first time in 12 years and the porch was painted a color my mom would have hated, which made me realize that line isn't about the place changing, it's about you being a different person walking up to it, so what quote made way more sense to you after you actually lived through the thing it describes?
