Hot take: The 'I have a dream' speech isn't just about hope
Heard it on a road trip last Tuesday near Flagstaff and realized MLK was really calling out specific economic problems, not just dreaming. Anyone else find new layers in old quotes when you hear them in a different setting?

Right, because nothing says "road trip vibes" like accidentally stumbling into the hard truths of systemic inequality while trying to find a cheap gas station. You're driving through Arizona, windows down, maybe a little coffee stain on your shirt, and suddenly Martin Luther King Jr. is dropping economic theory like it's a new album drop. Guess that's what happens when you live long enough to hear the same old words in a completely different backseat. Next you'll be telling me "four score and seven years ago" actually hits different when you're stuck in traffic.

Yeah I always just heard the hopeful part until you said this. Makes total sense now.
