Rant: I was using the same password for everything until my buddy logged into my Netflix from 300 miles away
Back in 2018 I used the same password for like 14 accounts, and honestly I thought I was being smart by making it long with a number and an exclamation point. Then my buddy Jake logged into my Netflix from his place in Sacramento, and I got the "new device" email and just stared at my phone. That was the moment it hit me that if he could guess it, anyone could, and he only knew it because I'd typed it in front of him at a burger place a month before. I swapped everything to a password manager after that, and the part that bugs me is how easy it was to set up compared to how long I put it off. How did you all finally make the switch, was it a breach email or did someone just call you out like Jake did?
