Just realized my 2FA setting blocked a hacker cold...
I always thought two-factor auth was too much trouble... until I got an alert for a login from somewhere I've never been. My stomach dropped, but all I had to do was tap 'deny' on my phone. It blocked them completely. Now I push everyone to turn it on, no matter what. Skipping this step is just asking for trouble... it's the easiest way to protect yourself. That one setting helped me a lot.

Seems like everyone's jumping on the 2FA bandwagon lately. But is it really needed for every single account? I've never had my stuff hacked, and I don't use it. Sometimes it's just extra steps for no reason. What if you lose your phone and get locked out? That's a bigger headache than a random login attempt.

Honestly, it's like locking your door. Why wait until after a break-in?

Hold up! 2FA is NOT the magic bullet everyone claims. I got locked out of my email for DAYS after my phone died, and customer service was useless. Hackers are getting smarter with SIM swaps anyway, so it's just extra hassle. Most people don't need it for every account, just use strong passwords and common sense.
