Turns out I had my stabs flipped for 3 months and nobody told me

I was modding my Keychron V1 last night and noticed the wire on the spacebar stabilizer was sitting under the plate instead of over it. Watched a build video from someone in Portland and realized I'd been installing the screw-in stabs upside down this whole time, which explains why the spacebar clacked on the left side no matter how much I lubed it. Fixed it in 10 minutes and now it sounds like a different board entirely. Has anyone else had a dumb setup mistake that took way too long to catch?

Remember my buddy Tom spent six months fighting a rattly spacebar on his custom build, thought it was the switches or the keycaps and bought like three different sets. Then his kid knocked the board off the desk and when he snapped the stabs back in, he finally saw the wire was sitting in the wrong slot the whole time. Dude felt like an idiot but at least his spacebar sounded like heaven after that.
