Tried a budget hot swap PCB and it fried on me

I built a keyboard last week using a $25 hot swap PCB from Amazon and it died after two days. One of the sockets just pulled right off the board when I swapped a switch, like the solder was barely holding it. I'm out the money and now wondering if I should just stick with soldered boards instead. Has anyone else had bad luck with cheap PCBs like this?
