Talked to a guy at the Chicago meetup who changed how I lube stabilizers

Last month at the Chicago keyboard meetup, I was complaining about how rattly my spacebar still was after trying three different lubes. This older guy named Pete pulled out a tiny brush and showed me how he applies a super thin coat to the wire ends and the housing slots separately. He said the trick was letting the lube sit for 15 minutes before reassembling. Has anyone else tried that dry time method or is that just his personal quirk?

My buddy Dave tried that dry time trick on his KBD67. He said it felt a little weird waiting around but the spacebar came out way more solid than before. He's been doing it ever since.

Tbh that 15 minute dry time sounds like a clever trick to let the lube set before the wire starts moving around.

Actually it's more about letting the heat from crimping set the sealant.
