Spent $80 on a single custom keycap and it arrived with a crack in it

I was so excited for this resin artisan keycap with a little skull inside, but when I unboxed it the skull had a hairline crack right across its face. Has anyone else had bad luck with expensive single keycaps?

Oh man, that really sucks. I had a friend who ordered a $60 resin keycap with a galaxy swirl inside and it showed up with this huge chip on the edge. She was so bummed because she waited like two months for it to ship from overseas. She messaged the seller and they basically said "sorry not our fault" because it was a one-off handmade thing. It just sat in her drawer after that, totally useless. I feel like with these expensive artisan caps you're rolling the dice every time, like the risk is part of the hobby or something. Really hope you can at least get a partial refund or something, that's way too much money to just eat.

Heard a story from a guy on another forum who ordered a $200 custom resin keycap and it arrived cracked in half because the seller packed it in a padded envelope with no bubble wrap. Said the seller refused any refund because they had a "no returns on handmade items" policy in their listing terms. It really does feel like you're gambling when you buy these expensive artisan caps, especially from overseas sellers.
