Spent $50 on a 'custom' coiled cable and it fried my PCB
Bought this handmade aviator cable off Etsy, looked great but the pinout was wrong. Zapped my whole board 2 days after building it. Anyone else had a cable kill their keeb?

Zapped my whole board" is rough, that's a total nightmare. My buddy had a similar thing happen with a cheap cable from Amazon, it looked fine but the wiring was backwards and killed his Hotswap pcb. He was so mad he just threw the cable in the trash and now only uses stock ones.

Cable fried his board" is just another example of how saving a few bucks usually ends up costing way more.
