Spent 4 months fighting a sticky spacebar on my custom build before realizing it was the stabilizer wire not the switch

I swapped out switches three times, re-lubed everything twice, and tore the board apart on a Sunday afternoon before I finally noticed the wire was just slightly bent on one end and now I have to ask has anyone else wasted way too much time chasing a problem that ended up being something super simple?
