Shoutout to the guy who told me to try a hair dryer on my sticky stabilizers
I was about to throw out a whole set of Cherry stabs after they got gummy from too much lube, but warming them up for 30 seconds with a hair dryer on low let me wipe the excess right off. What's your go-to fix for a lube mistake?

Honestly thought you had to soak them in isopropyl. That hair dryer trick is way faster.

Ever try that with a thicker grease like 205g0? I wonder if the heat trick works better with certain types. My dielectric grease mess was a nightmare to clean cold. Had to use a brush and a ton of paper towels.

...and then I proceeded to do the same thing two days later with a fresh set of stabs. Some people never learn, I guess. But yeah, the hair dryer trick is the only reason I'm not drowning in sticky stabilizers right now. I've also just lived with a scratchy spacebar for a week because I was too lazy to desolder and fix my bad lube job. At least with the heat method, I can pretend I'm being productive instead of just admitting I'm bad at this hobby.
