and honestly I think that guy is just wrong, like have you actually heard the difference between properly lubed and over-lubed stabs? most people who complain about overlubing have never even tried a truly well tuned board. if your stabs sound thocky and not scratchy, that's perfect in my book. the only time you really go overboard is if the key gets stuck or feels sluggish to come back up. but if it's smooth and sounds good, tell that guy to mind his own business.

Wait, @sean_martin44, did you really say that guy was just wrong about it being overlubed? Because I gotta say, that's kind of a hot take in my experience. I've seen stabs where you could literally hear the lune pooling up when you press the key, and that's a whole different thing than a smooth, thocky sound. Your mileage may vary, but if the guy at the meetup was being polite and just pointing out that the pressure of the stabs felt a bit heavy or sticky, he might have had a point, not just hating for no reason.
