Pro tip: I swapped from a 60% to a 75% layout and it fixed my whole workflow
I used a 60% board for about a year, thinking the small size was perfect. After three months of constantly hitting function layers for arrow keys while editing code, my hands were tired. I built a 75% last week, keeping the arrow keys and a few nav keys right there. The difference is huge, I'm not fighting the board anymore. Has anyone else made a switch that just clicked for them like that?

Oh man, same! I stuck with a 60% for way too long because it looked so clean. But having to hit that function key combo just to delete a line of text was driving me nuts. Switched to a TKL layout and having dedicated arrow and delete keys right there was a total game changer. I don't miss the tiny form factor at all now.

Honestly my buddy went through that exact thing with his 60% board. He kept bragging about how clean his desk looked for months. Then one day he just snapped trying to edit a spreadsheet, said the function layers made him want to throw the whole thing out the window. He swapped to a TKL layout the very next week and will not shut up about how much better it is. Tbh seeing his relief was kinda funny after all his earlier hype. He acts like he discovered some huge secret just by having arrow keys again.

See, I actually stuck with my 60% and got used to the layers. It only took a week or so for the combos to feel normal. Now I can't go back because my hands barely have to move. All that extra desk space is worth the small learning curve. I guess it just depends on what you're willing to get used to.
