I finally gave up on tape modding after 4 failed attempts
Spent six hours across three evenings trying to get the hole-punch tape mod right on my new board, but every attempt made the spacebar sound like a wet sock, so I ditched it and went back to stock stabilizers, has anyone else just said forget it and kept things factory?

The "wet sock" thing got me. My buddy spent a whole weekend on the same mod and his spacebar ended up sounding like a dying frog. He just ripped it all out and never touched tape again. Factory is fine, man.
