Hot glue gun trick destroyed my space bar switch last weekend
I was trying to stabilize a loose stabilizer wire on my new build and used a hot glue gun to tack it down. Glue dripped into the switch housing and seized the stem completely. Killed a brand new Gateron Black within 30 seconds of my dumb idea. Had to desolder the whole thing and replace it, took me about an hour of cleanup. Anyone else ever ruin a switch with a quick fix gone wrong?

Buddy of mine tried using superglue to fix a rattly spacebar. Tiny drop on the stabilizer stem. Somehow it wick'd right into the switch housing. Locked up his Glorious Panda solid. He spent two hours with rubbing alcohol and tweezers trying to free it. Ended up snapping the stem off completely. Had to toss the whole board for weeks until he got a new one.
