Guy on Reddit told me to try lubing my stabs with dielectric grease instead of Krytox

I was having this nasty rattle on my spacebar for months with my Keychron Q1, tried everything. Some random user named keyboard_kyle_420 said just grab some Permatex dielectric grease from AutoZone for $6 and try that. I was skeptical but man, that stuff quieted my stabs so much, no more ticking noise. Has anyone else tried using car grease on their stabilizers or am I just a weirdo?

Try mixing that dielectric grease with a tiny bit of lighter oil to make it even smoother.

Mixing lighter oil with dielectric grease is going to turn that stuff into a runny mess that'll just drip all over your PCB. Dielectric grease works because it's thick and stays put, it doesn't bleed into the plastic housing like thin oils do. If you start thinning it out, you're basically just making expensive goo that'll attract dust and eventually make things worse. Keep it simple, slap the straight grease on there and leave it alone.
