Finally understood why my spacebar rattled after 8 months of building

I built my first board back in January, a 65% with a cheap aluminum case, and the spacebar rattled like crazy no matter what I did. Last week I was at a meetup in Denver and a guy pointed out my stabilizer wire was bent, like actually warped, probably from when I yanked the keycap off wrong. He straightened it with pliers and showed me how to check it against a flat table, and the rattle was just gone. I had been blaming my lube job for months when the real issue was a bent wire the whole time. Anyone else had a stabs problem that turned out to be something dumb like that?
