Accidentally spent 6 hours straight on a single keyboard build last Saturday

I sat down at 10 AM to swap out my switches and lube some new stabs on my Tofu60 build, and next thing I knew it was 4 PM and I hadn't eaten anything. I messed up the first stab install on the spacebar and had to desolder and redo it twice before I got the wire perfectly balanced. Has anyone else lost a whole day tuning stabilizers and ended up way overthinking it?

lol dude I feel this so hard. I had a similar thing with my GMMK Pro where I spent like five hours just on the spacebar stab because I kept tweaking the wire balance and then realized the left side was hitting the case foam weird. I ended up taking the whole board apart three times because I convinced myself the ticking sound was the switch housing instead of the stab wire. By the end my fingers were cramped and I forgot to eat lunch.

Oh man, that foam issue is the WORST. Did you end up trimming the foam or did you just leave the case asis? I had a similar thing with my Keychron Q1 where the left stab wire was rubbing against the plate foam and I swear I thought I was going crazy. Like how does foam even cause a ticking noise that sounds exactly like a bad switch?
