A buddy told me my stabs were 'sloppy', fixed my whole build approach
Last month I posted a pic of my first gasket mount board and a friend said my spacebar sounded 'loose and rattly, like a toy'. I'd been using cheap clip-in stabilizers from a kit I got on sale for like $40, never thought much about it. He convinced me to try screw-in stabs from a local shop in Austin, plus some dielectric grease on the wires, and the difference was night and day. Now I balance every wire and test each stab before even soldering, and I'm wondering how many of you started with clip-ins and made the same switch?
