Just found out the average creator makes $0.02 per stream and I can't stop thinking about it
I was reading a report from Music Ally last week about streaming payouts and it said most artists earn between $0.003 and $0.005 per stream on Spotify. So to make $1,000 a month you'd need like 200,000 to 300,000 streams. I knew it was bad but seeing the actual math laid out like that made me feel sick for anyone trying to do this full time. How do you all deal with knowing the platform takes such a huge cut while you do all the work?
